A guided meditation programme along with a review of meditation techniques was conducted by a YSS sannyasi on Sunday, March 21, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (IST).
The two-hour online programme included review of the Hong-Sau Technique of Concentration, Aum Technique of Meditation, and a guided meditation by a YSS sannyasi in Malayalam.
Review of Hong-Sau Technique
This ancient and powerful technique of Hong-Sau helps to develop the mind’s latent powers of concentration. Through regular practice one learns to withdraw thought and energy from outward distractions so that they may be focused on any goal to be achieved or problem to be solved. Or one may direct the concentrated attention that results from successful practice toward realizing the Divine Consciousness within.
Review of Aum Technique
Once the student has learned, through the practice of the Hong-Sau Technique, to relax the body and focus the mind, this advanced Aum Technique of Meditation expands the awareness beyond limitations of body and mind to the joyous realization of one’s infinite potential.
Review classes on the YSS meditation techniques were available for YSS/SRF Lessons students only, and were conducted in Malayalam.
Prepare for the Programme
We suggest that you prepare yourself by reading the Yogoda Satsanga Lessons on meditation techniques ahead of attending the technique review classes.
You may find it helpful to keep your arm rest and asana handy for these classes.
YSS/SRF Lessons students should login into the Sangam portal ahead of time and double check that they are able to access the Meditation Technique Classes page. Please note that classes will only be available at the scheduled time and will not be available for later viewing.
